At heart, I’m a PHP/mySQL Web Application Developer. At the same time, I manage 1/2 dozen LAMP servers, and have found myself needing a portable computing solution. This is where the EEE comes in.

I’m currently involved in several projects that take up the majority of the time I have. However, being human, I realize I have to make time for myself. This is where this blog comes in.

Some basic stats:

  • Married (14 years)
  • Two Kids
  • Live in Orlando, FL
  • Work from home (or anywhere I choose to work from on any given day)
  • OS Agnostic – I have them all, use them all, and think they all suck in one way or another.

Things that you might find interesting / useful

  • Certified out the ying-yang
  • Available for guest speaking at events or teleseminars (contact me!)
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Play guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele (really… and record some of my own music)

Stuff everybody should know:

  • There is no such thing as “time management”. We’ve all been given the same 24 hours in a day. It’s how we choose to invest our energy at any given moment that we have any control over.
  • I like to replace the word “frustration” with “fascination” in my vocabulary. Try it. You’ll be amazed.
  • If you think you’re charging too much for your time, your time isn’t worth enough to you.

I read somewhere that BestBuy (http://www.bestbuy.com) is selling them in their stores. There are quite of few of those stores here in Orlando. So, while you’re visiting, stop into one of them and check them out. There are also a bunch of technology stores that cater to people visiting Orlando. I am sure you’ll have no problem finding one.
