So, I had a bunch of running around to do. (It’s Tax day and all, what else can you expect?) Me being out of the office had little to do with customer demands. I had my VOIP Desk Phone forwarded to my cell phone, and, of course, had my Eee with me.

The calls started coming in early today – for some reason, everyone seemed to be having an “emergency” of some kind (these things tend to come in groups, anyhow). Nothing could wait until I got back home… and traffic pretty much sucked…

“No problem. I am logging into your webserver right now…”

“What? I thought you were out of the office. What gives?”

“What gives? Nothing gives. Why would I let something as petty as my location on this planet interfere with my level of service?”

So, there I was… driving around, Eee connected via my trusty Sprint Card…

A few calls and a couple of hours later, I did a quick mental tally… sure enough, the total amount from billable hours logged on the Eee just today exceeded the amount I paid for the device including the 2 gig memory upgrade.

Looking back, I can’t think of another time in my life where the ROI on a device arrived so quickly.

If you’re thinking of purchasing one of these tools, do so. You won’t regret the decision.
